LiqGuard — Terms of Service

Effective: 21 August 2026 · applies to the LiqGuard iOS app and api.liqguard.app

1. What LiqGuard is

LiqGuard is a read-only monitoring tool. You give it a public wallet address on a supported perpetual DEX; it periodically reads publicly available position data and sends push notifications when a position approaches liquidation. Hyperliquid is currently the only supported perpetual DEX. Others may be added over time; none is promised, and support for a venue can change or end. LiqGuard never asks for, stores, or uses wallet connections, seed phrases, or private keys, and it cannot place, modify, or cancel trades.

2. Alerts are best-effort — not a guarantee

Do not rely on LiqGuard as your only protection against liquidation. Alerts depend on third-party systems we do not control — Apple's push-notification service, the public API of the supported perpetual DEX (currently Hyperliquid), your device's network and notification settings — and on polling intervals that mean a fast market move can outrun any alert. An alert may arrive late or not at all. You remain solely responsible for monitoring and managing your own positions.

3. Not financial advice

Nothing in LiqGuard — including distance-to-liquidation figures, risk colouring, or the margin-gap estimate on the wallet screen — is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Figures are estimates computed from public data that may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Verify everything against your exchange before acting.

4. Subscriptions

LiqGuard Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID; refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. If your subscription ends, wallets beyond the free limit are paused (kept, not deleted) and alerts for them stop — the app shows exactly which.

5. Advertising

The free tier will be supported by advertising; LiqGuard Pro will show no ads. Neither is in the app yet — see section 7 of the Privacy Policy, which is the advance notice for it.

6. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no attempts to disrupt, overload, reverse the API, or use another person's identifiers. We may suspend service to protect the system or other users.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

LiqGuard is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiqGuard and its operator are not liable for any trading losses, liquidations, missed or delayed alerts, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can stop using LiqGuard at any time by deleting your wallets and the app. We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice where practical.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means acceptance.

11. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Questions: support@liqguard.app.
